...to an Open Garden.
I say Open Garden (which it was) but it was part of an Estate.

Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did :)
What delightful photographs ! Very professional and beautiful views ! :D
8) Where was that then? it's beautiful ;D
Thanks Marianne and Roy.
Roy, the pictures were taken in Penicuik Estate. Garden open through Scotland's Garden Scheme and hosted by Sir Robert & Lady Clark.
Lovely, lovely pictures. Heck you can't beat this part of the UK for scenery eh and such lovely gardens as well. I thought it was around the Pentlands.
:D :D :D :D
I love the picture across the High Pond. It makes me feel all relaxed just looking at it.
If you know the area Carol, there's no mistaking those hills ;D
Beautiful.
looks like you had a good day~lovely garden :)
i want the summerhouse~i can just see myself sitting there with my x-stitch :)
It was great. That was last weekend, went to Dawyck yesterday, was just a flying visit though but want to go again ;D.
Oh 2Spot what lovely pictures. Thank you so much for sharing. I particularly like the photo looking across High Pond (the first one) - the reflections are beautiful. What a peaceful looking place. Px
You're welcome Plocket :) Just wish I could visit more often, Sir Robert and Lady Clark don't like people visiting uninvited :(. Apparently people have been stealing stone from old Penicuik House >:( which is derelict at the moment but currently having restoration work done. Used to go 'Up the Estate' as a teenager but haven't been for years. Never seen the above parts before.
Lovely pics Twospot. ;D The rhododendrons look really colourful. Looks like a lovely relaxing area down by the lakes. Were there many other people about or did you have time to take it all in for yourselves?
I like the mini horses walking on the hedge ....tee hee I'm teasing!
lovely pictures very well taken and what a stunning garden
I know you'll probably think I'm mad, Twospot, but what is Anthony Worral Thompson doing in the third rhodo pic? If you look carefully about a third of the way in from the left, and a bit less than a third of the way down from the top, there's a perfect rendition of the top half of A W-T in a green shirt, looking out towards the right hand side of the screen!!! Honest... I'd be glad to know if anyone else can see him, or if it's like one of those pictures you just stare at for ages until a picture leaps out at you....
Margi x
Those photos were spectacular, some of the best I have seen. Thanks for sharing. :) busy_lizzie
Heldi, it was busy but being such a big garden there was more than enough room for everyone. You got an idea of how busy it was when you went into the house for tea and cakes. About a dozen tables set out each seating at least 6 people and all of them full with more people coming and going.
A W-T? Where? Margi what have you been drinking ;D Seriously though I don't get on too well with those pictures where you are supposed to see another within ???
Thanks for the lovely comments BL and all ;D
