What's the funniest thing you've seen this week?
(just to combat the rude people thread...)
I was walking along the road towards the farm shop on Wednesday, when in the distance I saw a man on a scooter, wearing what looked like a baggy pink tracksuit. hmmm nice. As he got closer, I realised that he was actually bare chested and legged and his rather portly frame was pink from sun burn. I started thinking to myself as he was almost along side me "Please don't be naked, please don't be naked!" Of course, I couldn't look away to avoid seeing the horrific sight. I just couldn't not look! As he whizzed (do scooters whizz? chugged/stuttered maybe) passed, I was relieved to see he was wearing shorts. phew. He did look cool (not 8), but certainly less warm than I was feeling) but I hope he had plenty of aftersun lotion!
Well i didnt really see it, but bystanders nearby would tell you that me falling off my bike was funny- have to agree ;D
Has to be me - covered from head to foot in mud, don't know why but whatever I do I always end up dirtier than anyone else. Went to fill my watering can at the lottie and two chaps were stood at the tap chatting about women and how they all love shopping. I had to chip in and say - not all women love shopping, I hate it. One of them grinned and said - no we can tell what you like, playing in the mud ;D. guess I asked for that, but it is more fun than shopping ;D ;D,

Not this week, but last.....
Saw a squirrel fall out of a tree!Â
Before I get flamed, I love squirrels and yes, the squirrel was fine. OH and I were out walking in the forest and heard a snap and a rustle. Looked over to see a branch plummeting to the earth and then saw said squirrel, on his back with all four legs in the air. Very undignified for such an agile beastie! Anyway, he rolled over and lept away. Fine and dandy. But we did laugh - not something I've ever seen before nor expected to see (the squirrel, not us laughing ;). Now, on days when we are sad or down (cos all the weeds are back to 4ft on the lottie!) we just say, "Remember the squirrel". So thanks Mr Squirrel, wherever you are! ;D
Think I saw Tony Blair trying to look concerned.
;)
Oh, it has to be when I arrived home from work and suprised a whole family of blue tits, who were taking advantage of the fat balls and other yummy things in the garden, the other day.
There were 3 or 4 little ones and they all went clambering/fluttering up the fence into the rowan tree, because they weren't quick enough to fly straight off like the adults :D
It was very funny and very cute, and I felt very guilty for having disturbed them :-[
Bless them - they were beautiful :)
Me! - struggling with the big petrol strimmer on the allotment (first ever use of a strimmer!), and being splattered with all the grass and thistle/dandelion stems!
On another website, this time Welsh language one, and incorrect translations & spelling mistakes - PC world in Bangor apparently had the sign Diolch n farw am siopa - the farw bit comes from to die, should have said diolch yn fawr - thankyou very much; also gwinoedd ac ysbrydion (wines and spirits (of the ghostly kind))! Also, Mon-sat was tranlated with the sat from sit, not Saturday!
Which reminds me, haven't received email recently with supposed GSCE howlers.
Sexism is sex between two people of the same sex. I had that one yesterday.
