Title: Waterbutt Question
Post by: Justy on June 08, 2005, 18:58:08
Bit of an odd question this one.  I bought a waterbutt last year but never really set it up or got round to using it.  The tap was supplied loose inside so i decided to fit it but.......

the hole on the outside does not match up with the hole on the inside so couldn't figure out how to screw the thing together.  Then lost the nut inside the flippin hole so now can't attach it at all!  I bought another tap but do not want to make the same mistake again (as tap was £3.50!!)

Is this normal or have i got a faulty butt? (if you pardon the expression  :-[)

You lost me. How can a drilled hole not 'line-up'? Fitting the tap shouldn't be a problem at all. As requested, maybe a pic will clear up what the problem is.

yes guess it is double skinned - will try and get a picture but don't think it will be very good as trying to take piccy of bottom of black waterbutt will not be easy!
