Scarlet pimpernel. I adore this little flower. I caught it struggling in one of my beds last year. It had self seeded. I picked it up and tucked it up into a pot . It promptly disappeared but to my delight it has reappeared this year to give me a wonderful little performance. I love our native wildflowers!
some splodgey mimulus.
Very exotic looking Heidi :)
They are aren't they. I only got them to take an order up to the no p+p level! I wasn't sure I'd like them but they are really nice. So a good suprise for me then!
Heres some more flowers. Took all of these pics today.
The field poppy. My all time favourite flower I think.
The sunny pot marigold.
Two blue geraniums.
Well, I hope you liked the little tour of some of my garden flowers. ;D
lovely pictures and stunning flowers thanks
That Scarlet Pimpernel is just gorgeous, have never seen such a complimentary picture before. Love the Geraniums too, I have a few wild ones growing in my front garden, Doves Foot Cranesbill I think, they're so tiny and very pink.
I love our wildflowers too ;D
Hi Twospot! I'm waiting on some of mine to flower then I'll take some pics to show you.
Thanks Heldi, one of mine is flowering now, only got 2 flowers though.
I love the scarlet pimpernel. Not seen that before. I've grown mimulus before and liked them but they don't survive our winters. The Flanders poppies were looking glorious with cow parsley along the roadside earlier on when I drove Possum and pal to their swimming lesson. Since then the dratted man from the council has been and cut the verges!!!! Nearly all gone! Fortunately, I've been encouraging a colony on the boundaries of our garden that he doesn't reach so have my own personal display.
I spent an our or so weeding scarlet pimpernel out of my veg beds today, it loves my garden too much. I was thinking of you Heldi, I got 3 buckets full! Just making sure I catch them before they go to seed!
One of my daughters isname is scarlett.
Hi Heldi!! Those piccies are fab. You have some lovely plants!! I love the blue geraniums - I have a Johnsons Blue which has just started to flower. Thanks for sharing your photos!
Lovely sharp pictures as usual Heldi - what camera have you got (I'm trying to decide which digital one to buy!)?
Poppies are my favourite flowers too - but the white rose is gorgeous as well. Which climber is it? I have a white cockade - took some pictures of it & my oriental poppies this morning with my elderly SLR!! Looking forward to being able to post my pics when I've got the technology ...
Heldi - What exquisite flowers you have in your garden ! Especially the pimpernels :o :D
Thanks for sharing.
joy to look at ;D thanks H :)
Hi Heidi. I've always loved the Scarlet Pimpanel, I was in the girl guides when i was younger and our group name was Scarlet pimpanel :)
Hi Heldi. really enjoyed your lovely pics.(says she turning bright green :)) some beautiful flowers. I am hoping to post just a couple of pics from my garden (It will have to be headed A real novice gardeners pics) :-[ If I manage to post in the next couple of days I will then go off to Isle of Wight for a week and then I won't hear the laughter (only joking) Thanks for sharing. Lorna.
Thanks everyone.
Oops Tulippa I hope I've not given you nightmares! Glad most of you liked the pimpernel. It is such a dinky little flower though be warned from Tulippa if you don't want it running rampant. I wouldn't mind it doing its thing but I think I get a better show in its pot where you can see the flowers close up.
My camera is Pentax Optio 550.
The rose is an Iceberg climber I think, though I had an Iceberg shrub so I might be getting mixed up again! The flower itself looks gorgeous but it is prone to blackspot and mildew. I don't spray or anything and put up with the less than perfect foliage.
Lorna I hope you do post your pics I'd love to see your garden.

I have loads too, and together with speedwell they make my life miserable in summer trying to get them out of the plots...
Now if the flowers were bigger, say an inch across, they'll be fantastic bedding plants!

Thanks, Heldi, I'll add it to my list of ones to look at.
Beautiful pictures Heldi - I do love to see flowers in close up.
Isn't nature wonderful - all of those beautiful shapes and colours.
Double oops Moonbells cos I like speedwell too! Had a little pot of it. It has gone in the sulks though. I like to really look at the teeny flowers and marval at their perfection.
You're welcome Juliet!
Thankyou Emm. I am trying to mix native plants, however small, in amongst the more exotic types. Seems to be working ok so far.
