Title: Iris in ponds
Post by: maz on June 06, 2005, 07:56:27
Am I right in thinking iris's will have all flowered ny now?

My cheapo bargain is growing like  triffid but with no sign of flowers yet

Does it need food? What can I give it bearing in mind the fish and frogs are in the pond.

Or am I just being impatient?  ???

hi maz u are ok maz my verigatad iris has not flowered yet most of them have but i think the verigated iris flowers a little later, you can buy aquatic pond tablets that  u just push down into the pots and then it feed just the plant and not the water or the blanket weed dont buy liquid feed as that will feed the blanket weed , the tablets are completley safe to aniamls so your frogs and fish will be ok. :) :) :)

PS talk to it nice maz and it will sure to flower ;D ;D ;D

Hi Maz
Its most likly the fish poo thats feeding the iris thats making it grow so well for you. I rinse the filters out and diulite it for feeding plants best growing stuff there is. So dont over feed it. It will flowers in good time had to get my iris out of the pool the fish were eating it they are devils.
