Ohhhhh, I just bought a little plant like that last year, this year there were about 10 flowers in it. Still a long way to go to get anywhere near yours.

correct h~it's common bistort.
it's also known as adderwort or snakeweed~~charming ;D

Yes, or we call it "Fancy Dock Leaves".

It does not mind shade and likes it dampish. Otherwise it is a fairly tough plant with few problems.
