Title: Water Butts
Post by: redimp on June 03, 2005, 18:13:03
Is there anyway of fixing a hose to a standard water butt tap (Sankey).  I know the pressure isn't great but it would be whole lot easier than lugging my waterering cans to the top of my shed is.

You need a rubber socketed tap connector - most garden shops - a smear of washing up liquid to ease it onto the tap, and a jubilee clip to make sure it stays there.

Yup one of those hozelock connectors fits the tap that came with my butt (no sblack personing :o  s n i g g e r i n g at the back there) -a cheap knockoff version (Homebase, I think) works just as well.
