This is was taken on the banks on the canal which runs alongside our lotties. It's the plot next to mine.
Her eggs should be hatching soon. (Anyone know how long they take?) She's been sat on them at least 4 weeks that I know of.
Her mate chases anyone that comes along the tow path on cycles, He sort of runs along the water after them. Very comical to watch. :)

Oh, that's wonderful ;D

I can imagine that the cob is pretty protective, at the moment.
I'm not sure how long they incubate for, but there can't be much longer to wait ;D
He'll be even worse then :o

On the river Lea where I live, we have a couple of swans with 7 babies each.  They were born a good 3 weeks ago and look fantastic.  I wonder if "yours" would hatch later because it is a little colder up north?  Not sure but hope all is well. :D ;)

Lanky lass your pic is just fantastic  ;D
And you appear to be so close to the nest too?

The  the thought of the cob  chasing off the people on bikes really tickled me, that must be so funny to watch  ;D

I hope you can post some more pics once the eggs have hatched.
