Do you watch Beechgrove? Sunday morning BBC2. They're following a woman who's a trained horticulturalist who's sharing land with neighbours, teaching them how to grow in return for sharing the crops. She's keeping a record of harvests and comparing them with shop prices and doing really well so far just on the price of salads, strawberries, courgettes and radishes. Beans, beetroot, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes and brassicas still to come. She's doing it all for almost no money too apart from seeds and some asparagus plants - master at recycling and clever ideas.
. I try to stick to £10 per week at this time of year.
