yeh, they are gorgeous - i have the pulsatilla rubra and alba too - they look lovely with veronica gentianoides.

What joy! Went to my former garden yesterday to collect back some plants and there was my lovely little PV violet Blue....rather overgrown surroundings but now back here, in a pot on the patio, and in bud!

Just had to share this with you......
My PV has three buds and one is opening before my very eyes this morning. It is obviously very happy living in a pot on the patio (in a rather super marble stand!).
I've watched the buds for a while now and this morning the opening process started.
As you can tell, I'm rather entranced by this! Wish I had a digi camera....
