Northumberland Estate and Corbridge
« on: March 18, 2015, 21:23:05 »
I wonder if anyone can give me some information.  Our site is owned by the Northumberland estate and leased to us via the Council.  The Estate have invited the plotholders (as the Association) to meet and discuss the future of the site.  Essentially, they want to move the plots and redevelop our current site.  I see benefits and disadvantages but the bottom line is that they own the land and simply need to serve us with 12 months notice to quit.

They spoke a lot about a similar situation is Corbridge a while ago and I wonder if any A4All'ers have any direct or second-hand knowledge of how the estate handled the site move. I've heard the gloss, now I'm after the reality.

Thanks
Sharon

Where is Corbridge?

This one only seems to be a change of ownership not a move.

Hi Digeroo

Thanks for the information. That's all I could find through Google. There must be someone out there with some local, inside knowledge.

Thanks again
