BBQ
« on: May 09, 2012, 08:44:58 »
After the sad news last weekend of a young girl loosing her life because of disposable barbeque fumes, it is about time the makers splashed a big warning across the packaging. After all, a packet of ciggies leaves you in no doubt about the perils of using them.

I never knew that they gave off a poisonous gas even when they are nearly out, until I read this sad news this week. I have used them for years and have never noticed a warning, but then I just light them up and burn the wrapper. It should be in big letters across the front and I am going to ask for the manager of the shop if when I buy my next ones if the warning is not prominent on the packet.

Youngsters can just buy them over the counter and like me do not properly read the warnings, lets all do this if you use them and stop another tragedy.

We don't barbeque but like you had no idea they gave off fumes.
It was a tragic case and your suggestion of a printed warning is a no brainer .
sanity is overated
