Topic: peaches and apricots

18 year old grandaughter does not know differance between a peach and a apricot, she said could she pick some apricots tree is laden with them,they taste really lovely....but instead she picked most of the unripe peaches about 5 wasnt many one the peach tree.. we have both trees in our greenhouse

Oh dear... ::) You know it is so common that people can't tell apart different veg or fruit or how they grow...and it is not only the kids, same for many adults too..
I thinks there is now couple of generations of folks who has never grown or picked anything themselves..all edible just comes from supermarket shelfs...
So it is no wonder it get's confusing..but I bet next time you'll go with her and check what it is she is going to pick... ;) ::)

yes will not let her touch them anymore ;D

Apricots are lovely tried them a few years ago when we were on holiday in Austria only tried them out of a tin before and never liked them then.. nothing like picking your own!!!!
