I got tomato and carrot seeds today too. I've never been successful with carrots so they've already been passed on!

Well, I just got the bumph and no seeds at all  :-\  Not that I need any more, but I was going to give them to my little nephew because he enjoys dramatic broadcast sowing.

I signed the same day as the original poster - what a waste of trees!

Mine arrived this morning, only just within the 28 days they stated.

I was beginning to think someone had tipped them off about me blagging too many free seeds.

Still waiting for the Dig-in ones thou.  :(

Thanks for the generous offers, but it's actually fine.  I felt guilty ordering them anyway - I mean they're intended for total beginners and not people with stacks of seed already.

Besides it doesn't really matter what kind of seeds I give to my nephew because whatever he sows only weeds appear (my sister's a bit of a novice with a garden and doesn't appear to understand where they come from) and he fully believes they're whatever he sowed (sweet  :) ).

I got my Dig In pack a few days ago, and it is really useful - going straight to grandchildren.

I made the RHS pledge, got the seeds and leaflets, and must have absentmindedly entered some sort of competition, because I have just had an email from the RHS saying

"Thank you for entering our recent competition in the March e-newsletter. I am pleased to tell you that you have won a easy access coldframe from Two Wests & Elliott. Congratulations!"

Have examined it carefully for signs of phishing, but it appears to be the real thing, and the person it is from is defintely an RHS editor, so I've sent them my address and should receive the cold frame within 28 days! According to the Wests website, it costs over £90 and looks pretty stunning:

http://www.twowests.co.uk/TwoWestsSite/product/CFEACF.htm

Does anyone remember a competition in the March Newsletter? I don't think I even have the newsletter......or was it something we were automatically entered for when we signed up?

Help, someone - I am having a senior moment.....

That's the one! Thank you so much for jogging my memory - I remember now thinking I might as well click "potato" as ignore the whole thing because it was clearly just a lottery.....:

Which one of the following vegetables benefits from 'earthing up' (ie: drawing soil up around the shoots as they develop)?
Potato
Lettuce
Aubergine

I'm amazed to have won it! I've never had a proper cold frame, just bits of glass balanced on bricks. Can't wait for it to arrive!

''Dear One Pot Pledger,

This great product, perfect for window ledges and patios will be winging it's way to your doorstep soon. Here's hoping it helps you make a success of your One Pot Pledge.

Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.
