Was reading one of the back issues of Organic Gardening Mag, when I came across an article on Yew - companies will pay for yew clippings (Taxol is useful in combatting cancer). One company is based in Chichester http://www.limehurst.com/. Though too late for this year, stick in a reminder in the diary for July-September for when you prune your yew...

That's interesting Multi - I have two yew trees.  Never knew about the beneficial uses of the clippings.  Have put the site in my favourites.

Think you will find it is one of the ingredients in Tamoxifen, so helping hundreds on a daily basis!  What other plants have healing properties that we just haven't discovered yet!
