A4A wins prizes at local show
« on: August 30, 2009, 16:10:19 »
A few lines to say thank you for all the advice that I've been given on this site and for Teegee for going to the trouble of showing photos of show produce.

It's down to you all that I did so well at the show and came away with the Challenge cup for the highest number of points award for the Novice class. The vegetables that were placed are:

All in Novice class

1st
Onions
Marrow
Cucumbers
Runner beans
Sweet peas (a joint effort between my wife and myself as I grew them and she arranged them)

2nd
Potatoes

3rd
Basket of six vegetables

This was my first attempt at showing vegetables at the tender age of 58 so you are never too old to learn and show! Please support your local show and remember It's the taking part that counts.

Well done love
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Saddad thanks! I'm not sure yet if I'm actually entering anything but I've been volunteered to help set it all up the day before, be on hand on the day and help clear up afterwards. I was bribed by the offer of lunch, cake and cups of tea!

Davy asks; .the question is are you now bitten?

What you have to remember now is you are now in the champions league  ;D then there is the 'Premier' league. ::)

I don't think that will worry you after all didn't you say; It's the taking part that counts.?

Go for it...once again well done!
