I have just had a message from Kate,  the parcel, a little battered and bruised, has made it to her!   The parcel has now been dealt with and has gone back to the post office - next stop Camden ...........

Hello Everyone

A really really big sorry for the delay!

I got sent a card by the Post Office to say I had recieved a parcel, When I got to the sorting office they couldn't find it, anyway they eventually did although it looked like the staff had been playing rugby or football with it, anyway the good news is as said in previous post is on it's way to Camden! (I also obtained proof of postage just incase!)

To be honest I couldn't think what the parcel would be, as i hadn't ordered anything, and I haven't been on here for ages due to the fact that i keep being sent around the country to work so have very little access to the internet,

I am really really sorry that the parcel has been held up! Next time I will make sure I put a note on the door to say to Mr Postie to deliver it to my neighbour! (That's what i usually do!) and............ i'm gonna make sure i log onto here at least once a week, besides that i've missed you guys!

Sorry once again

Kate xx

From the Post Office website:

UK arrangements

Scheduled collection customers

All services will run as normal for customers with scheduled collections, with deliveries up to and including 24th December.

The UK last send by dates for guaranteed delivery before Christmas are:

Next day services: 23rd December

Parcelforce 48: 22nd December

Please note, extended delivery speeds do exist for certain outlying postcodes. Please check our UK delivery speed exceptions page for details:

http://www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/worldwidedirectory?catId=19300174&pageId=wwd_countryinfo&country=7

Hope this helps - will also put it in the News section.

If you haven't received it yet, I think it would probably be wise to leave it until after christmas, otherwise it will get swept up into the peak delivery time and anything could happen.

I am happy to go with the flow, if you want it pass it on, it will get there eventually or if you want to hang on to it I don't mind.  I must warn you that you may become very attached to it if you keep it for a couple of weeks, be prepared for a bit of separation anxiety.
