My bouncy boxer boy
« on: May 08, 2008, 20:56:17 »
This is the bane......erm.....love of my life Sonny :-)
We had our boxer dog Floyd sadly put down through a brain tumour at the age of ten in October 2006,
and I promised I would not get another dog.
Well, that lasted all of 7 months before we took a trip to our local dog breeders, just to 'take a look, its a nice walk there isnt it?'
Went in with no dog, came out £600 poorer and with this little man..and here he is

Puppy pic from last June when we got him

and one of him a couple of weeks ago

PS why do dogs NEVER stay still when you want a nice pic!!!!!!

he is saying "why are you ignoring me?? That NEVER happens"
I made such a fuss of him for ages that he got used to all the attention and started to ignore me when I wanted a cuddle, so now when I sit with laptop he looks at me as if to say "you gone off me now?Isnt it always me me me??"

He's a bugger though :-) Bouncy is NOT the word!! Its a real struggle to stop him jumping up at people, we turn our back so then he knocks us over, and we cant see him coming!
Ah well, we managed well with our last boy so he's going to learn too (very very eventually from the looks of it)
:-)

You are so so lucky to have him.  I think the Boxers are the best ever and would have one tomorrow,  If only .........   My family have had 3, thats why I like them.   Daft as brushes and never ever grow up,.  do they?

 ;D ;D ;D

I wasnt really a big boxer dog fan till I met the OH, and he introduced me them
I wouldnt have another breed now, I think they're perfect for a family if you have room, they're great and playful with kids, obedient (sometimes!), easy and fun to train, and though they arent aggressive sonny is still big enough for me to feel safe taking him out late at night. And the one thing that puts a lot of people off - the drooling - he doesnt do!
We are going to get another in a couple of years when sonny is about three and calmed down a bit
I cant wait!   ;D
