« on: February 09, 2008, 13:07:42 »
Have been looking online and in the phone book all week and can not find any local companies for manure.  Have looked in wilkos and have some other things i need but can not find any manure suppliers in BARNSLEY.
So does anyone have any good companies they use in my area for all things allotment.

If you are into fetching horse manure then Jobi-Wan Kenobi posted on 12th January that they had loads of the stuff. Its at Junction 1 of the M18 which is not that far from Barnsley

Try dairy farms around you, they usually sell it by the truck load delivered. XX Jeannine

I find the local milkman is often a good bet, if he/she doesn't have any he/she might know a man that does.

Just do what I did last Saturday morning, fortunately we have plenty of riding stables and livery in our area, just go and ask for some muck and offer to pay, but it is hard work filling the bags, :)

Vicstar, I'm near Barnsley, I get mine from one of the farms in our village.

Where exactly do you live, if you're close enough to me they may be able to help you too.

PM me if you don't want to give your exact location.
I hoe, I hoe, then off to work I go.

There are normally manure suppliers listed in the Barnsley Chronicle - bags or trailer loads.  See the classified section

My friend lived in Chapel Street, Birdwell, and there was a small stables opposite her house.
If it's Rosie's allotment - how come Muggins here does so much digging?
