I have planted several cucumber seeds, 2 of which are Tasty King. I have lost the packet, and can't find any info on the net :o Anyone out there that knows if these are indoor or outdoor cucumbers? (please oh please be outdoor, as I am running out of space in the greenhouse!) Thank you DP

How adventurous!! Mostly 'out', but could be 'in'. But how many people to eat an 18" cu??
Google & take the second one. = Tim

Thank you Tim! I think it will have to take it's chances in the great outdoors ;D
My children love cucumbers, and take chunks in their lunchboxes, but they could be off it by the end of the summer :) (As will be our neighbours, friends and relatives!!)

If you do get a glut, look for a recipe for "Bread and Butter" pickle - cucmber works fine in that, or can be substituted for marrow in picallili.

The name suggests they are 'Kings' own variety so I looked up my catalogue and on their website;
http://ecom.kingsseeds.com/
Oddly enough they do a Tasty Green and a Slice King both of which are indoor/outdoor varieties. But they do not do 'Tasty King'
If it were me I would have a go outdoors with them, give them the sunniest most protected spot you can.
Alternatively grow one indoors and one out.

Thank you all! Pickles all round :-\ And I already have one on the go inside, so the other 2 are heading up the plot! ;D (Tim, 12 inches noted) DP
