I have four HBs on my route from the backdoor to the GH, and am forever walking into them. Can't hang 'em any higher because they are on posts supporting the deck, which is the exit from the conservatory (the bottom of the conservatory door is four feet off the ground due to a sloping site situation). A helmet would be very useful.
Grow your own and enjoy the fruits of your labours,
Regards Alan.

Hi - Good idea!

Are you allowed polytunnels on your allotment?  I am still having trouble with the Council saying yes I could erect a polytunnel and yes I could erect a polytunnel and when I did they said Ooooh but not a polytunnel that size!  Our size limit for sheds etc is 8x6 feel my polytunnel is 12x25!

Currently they have told me to take it down in the autumn - I am still fighting - and I think gaining a bit of ground as I have told them that they will have to pay for it as they said I could erect one!  We will see.  Let me know if you needed permission.  It may give me some ammunition - who knows!
Thanks
Old Bird

well, ours is on land the club leases from the council..when we asked, we were told it was up to the association..ours is now 30x10..one of the other lads has a 20x10..a couple of others want one and we're thinking of a communal 30x10 for next year so's our plant sale stuff can go in it..so, it's going to be a polytunnel allotment soon  ;D
tell them they will have to pay for it to be demolished, ask someone how much they would charge to take it down for you..that may make them think again..good luck, hope you get to keep it  :)
