after a day and a half of taking off the "turf", I now have 8 beds ;D
a HUGE mountain of soil/roots in the shady corner :-\
and quite a stiff back ::)

Awesome job!
The earthwork is particularly beautiful. Be careful English Heritage don't get it listed as a prehistoric monument next year though, just as you're about to dig into it for all that chocolate-cake-crumb loam... ;)

i wish my soil was that managable instead of clay sods that have mindes of there own.
I think you have done amazingly well!!
I did read somewhere that you can use the turf to line your compost bin ( grass facing inwards )
If you want to get rid of if you might also try freecycle as someone might take it off your hands.

the soil from that turf will make lovely loam for growing ya carrots and other roots . You have done well. My backs killing me after shifting more muck at the weekend.
