Plot today
« on: February 26, 2007, 15:31:49 »
Went to the plot today nice and early cos they said the forecast was good. It didn't brighten up till lunchtime. Still managed to get a bit done. Bunjy penned the kids up and managed to dig over 3 beds, meanwhile I continued to shift my muck. It's like a bloomin cut and come again cake. We dont expect to get up there again this week cos its gonna rain.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I thought it was great but it's certainly taking some shifting. It was enormous. We won't need anymore for a couple of years

Like Sarah, love the poo heap!  :D Sun was shining here too, so also went digging! Love the little row of chairs for kids- so sweet! Are they always that well behaved or just when armed with crisps?!!

Are those children glued to those seats!! ;D

I know what you mean about huge manure piles, I've only just tamed mine and spread it where it was needed (just about everywhere) and I got it the week before Christmas! ::)

I also was at the lottie today while the sun shone, work rang me up yesterday and asked if I could swap a shift and work today instead of Friday........course not! Don't be silly, it's going to be sunny tomorrow! Don't they ever look at Metcheck! Huh! ::)
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Best place for the little B****rs. You should hear my Tony when they walk on the dug ground. He's just like a sergeant major. Get orf that b****y garden. The poor little S**s run for their lives.hahahahaha. Then when he's not looking they say "stupid grandad". They are only two and a half. I hate to think what will happen if they try it on when they're bigger

Great pics Shirl. I bet if truth be known they can wind Grandad round their little fingers. I am really jealous, can,t wait to get out in the garden and greenhouse.  Not 100% yet and don,t want to undo all the good.

Looking at metcheck we are only going to get 1decent day and thats Thursday when I have to take me Mom to get her hearing aids fixed. Talk about  sods law. Still we are embarking on cleaning the old greenhouse out this week, that should keep us out of mischief. And Lorna I hope you will be feeling up to getting out by the time the sun comes out again love,

I agree that the kiddies look as though they're superglued Deb  ;D What a fabbo picture 8) What's the security like at the site Shirl? Any chance of me sneaking in with a low-loader one of these nights? Can't see you missing any of that muck. Really envy you that pile of gold :)

We have been on the allotment all day today. Put up my canes for the sweet peas, sewed some parsnips, carrots and larkspur and sprinkled a load of wild flower seeds on the plot next door which isn't ever gonna be let. Im hoping to create a meadow (I did say hoping). Tracy has put her strawberries in and sewn some carrots and started to shift her muck at last. It was blotting out the sun.lol Hope to go again tomorrow. Depends on the weather. Nearly forgot to tell you Bunjy has a robins nest in her old shed
