Pumpkin with no stalk
« on: September 14, 2006, 20:40:04 »
Picked my pumpkins this evening and I have a little football size one and i'm sure it had a stalk on when I put in the car. Could be my of my lads pulled it off but no-one is owning up to it. Will it be ok to store or should I just eat it now??

The stalk is significant for longer term storage - once it's off, there's a place for bugs and beasties to get in :-\ So eat sooner rather than later IMO ::)
Naughty mittens! ;) ;D
