blueberries
« on: March 15, 2004, 08:40:31 »
Hi everyone,

I've just bought a blueberry bush - variety bluecrop.

Problem is - I've been reading you need 2 bushes of different varieties to get a successful crop of berries. I've not got any space for another one plus GC only had one variety !!

So has anyone had success growing just one bush ?

Or should I sacrifice my redcurrants to make room when I find another bluebery bush  ?

Thanks,

Gail.

I have a bluecrop bush as well, and have read the same thing. Do you really need 2 different varieties, or can you have 2 of the same? I was going to get another one at the weekend. I'm all in pots, so space isn't an issue yet.

I did read that you will get berries with only one bush, just not so many. Hmmm...it's all getting complicated now  :)
Nothing rhymes with orange...
