Yes they do look very pretty Wardy.   ;D

My allotment is still covered with black plastic, carpets and the rest is nettles. Nothing pretty going on at all.  I'll get there though, I will,I will,I will!

Thanks Heidi  :)  My plot was covered in broken glass and it's taken an age to get rid of but I keep finding it so have to be real careful about kneeling  :o  You'll get there in the end.  Have you had any help from the council with getting rid of the rubbish?

No Wardy no help. Have asked the allotment association and was half promised a skip but it hasn't materialised either. Never mind. OH has a  van and sometimes gets permits for the local refuse places so we'll put it together with some stuff from his work one of theses days. Scored for a garden bench which I'm pleased about. I know... little things please little minds...heehee. Well, owt for nowt!  Oh and I've just remembered a hubby of a friend is asking his friend about getting me some wire fencing...for nothing! I'm excited about that because if it happens we really then can get the ball rolling. Get some hens even. I just keep telling myself, the longer the carpet and plastic is down the better it will be killing the weeds. I'm itching to dig though! Need to do a lot of reading up and a lot of questions will be coming!!

look on the bright side H, least the soil underneath the nettles is usually nice and crubly from them nice big roots.
