Although it would be nice to resolve this quickly I think we should give it a few days in case any one wants to change their mind on reflection.

I can see how a quick decision would also be nice to avoid this descending into a big argument.

TBH this is just a bump  :toothy10:

I would like to think that my small donation was going to some one who was at least a little bit grateful. I voted for Thrive anyway so my vote would go to them. i cannot see where to re vote.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

At the top of this thread it is only a vote about what the members wish to do.

As long as there's absolutely no question of a doubt, no confusion, no confuddledness on their part on what wonderful people we are and what we were trying to do for them, then I also am happy to switch to Thrive.

I did reply when I received the email as shown at the beginning of this topic to say we would try and work around the no just giving issue and have had no further contact.

TBH I am still really stunned by this whole episode and more so as Thrive list them on their website.

I think we can draw this to a close now as it seems the majority favour Thrive.

I will close the vote at 10pm tonight.

Thanks everyone for your comments and votes...

I have locked the voting and from the response we will proceed with donating to Thrive for this year's Christmas Gift.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for treating this topic in a calm positive manner.

I really hope we can put this behind us and make another great total for Thrive.

I emailed Alyson at Thrive this morning saying what we were doing and linked to both threads on this.

Just had a reply saying...Wow, thanks for that, very generous and lovely. If you need help with anything do get in touch. I work part-time so if I don't get back to you immediately you that's why. Have a good weekend and thanks for thinking of Thrive.

I'll set up the JustGiving donation page over the weekend then start a new thread here with all the details.
