RIP Betty Driver - hotpots in heaven tonight?
« on: October 16, 2011, 15:15:35 »
(sorry if this has been mentioned before but a quick look back over 2 pages didn't show it)

Coronation Street has lost a long-time player, The Rovers has lost its long-time cook.

Betty Driver died at age 91 and had already had a long acting/singing stage career behind her when she joined the Corrie cast. I've not watched the programme for, oh, 30 years p'raps, but I remember the character and loved listening to her on DID at the beginning of the year. I think that that interview is still available on i-player but can't do the link, sorry. Well worth finding and giving it a listen.
