laptop cursor probs

hi all,the mouse cursor on oh laptop is out of control,flickering all over the screen .Any ideas how to rectify it .

Have you updated your graphics driver lately? Also sometimes an ActiveX change can do it... As a first step I'd try disabling the pad or nipple and see if it behaves normally with a mouse... then I'd start looking at graphics things.

It is usually the niple or pad in my experience - we have had a few go this way but they should work with an external mouse.  Sometimes even just plugging a mouse in and removing it can fix the issue.
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!
