Seeds for the Traditionalists!
« on: September 19, 2006, 18:43:16 »
I don't know if anyone has come across this site - http://www.realseeds.co.uk

I found them recently and have just bought some seeds for the coming season.  If anyone has used them before, I would be quite interested on their thoughts.  Quite liked they way they presented themselves and encouraged seed collection and feed back.

Certainly, they seem to have some interesting varieties but I was impressed that they run a large 'smallholding' in Wales.

 :P ::) :D

I've had some of the yellow Mangetout but not had a really good look... as I got £20's worth at Wyvales bargain basement I might get some specials!

I had a lot of seed off them last spring, which I was quite impressed with; you get a lot, it germinates well, and they include instructions for seed saving, which are also on their website. Now the 2007 list is out I'll be making another order soon.

This has been my second year of buying seeds from them, I'm pretty much a novice at this, but I liked the results. I tend to stay away from F1s, so this is a box of delights.

I have used these guys too ;D

I truly think they know their stock to perfection.  I had a brilliant year last year and will be ordering again this year.

There are great instructions and tips that you weren't even looking for !!  :D

http://www.realseeds.co.uk/    ;)   Just have a look - think you will be impressed.

Thanks Tim,

Judging by all the replies, I hoping that I have quite a successful result next year!  Once again, fingers crossed!  Presumably, they were based in Europe before returning to the UK, which is why they have so many small European seed collectors helping them out and how they discovered the variety of seeds.   :D
