Blight has been a problem on our plots to a degree this last 3 yrs,so i tried growing a blight resistant spud called "Lady Balfour".
The result was fantastic !Huge yields of potatoes with no blight whatsoever. They make great chips,or boiled, and your hand stays in your pocket in the superstores, and shops.
I also grew "Desiree".and had great spuds come out,but a lot went on to rot in the bag,- i presume this was blight, but equally a lot where fine.
Anyways the "gist is"- Lady Balfour for quality, and yield, was outstanding!

Mark.
