Worth a shot?

Can't vouch for this, but as a totally organic gardener might be worth a shot? Or maybe one of us has already tried it?
Put broken egg shells into a watering can, fill with water and leave overnight. This will extract the nutrients making an excellent and cheap plant feed.
Hope everyones hangovers aren't too bad this morning! :-/

Egg Shells I find have quite a number of uses.
Microwaved they provide useful nutriants at this time of year for my birds.
As you say in your watering can ,but I leave them whole as they don,t block it up quite so much.
I use the water from boiling the eggs ,when cool,to water my house plants.
they can be crushed and put round tender young plants as a barrier for slugs .But this isn't foolproof.

I'm not a chemist or expert on 'brewing' but I think I would be careful with the watering aspect around 'lime haters'
I think this would produce an 'alkaline' solution.
Just a thought!!!!
