Tree made for picture taking

We take family photos frequently on this old tree at a camp in New York in the Adirondack Mountains.
Some go back to when my husband was a young boy. This was taken last week of our grandkids and a niece.

What a beautiful tree and grandkids too.

I would love to sit in that tree, it looks kind of magical.

lovely, what type of tree is it, maybe an alder? we have a really old one in our garden and I would love to build a tree house in it  :)

It is an evergreen of some type with no hammock, no tree house and never will have because everyone likes to take family pictures on it.  If trees could talk it would probably have some stories!
