Bit dissapointed with it really. Too many flashbacks. He did learn me something but my head can't remember yet, it'll come.

I saw the second half. I liked the way they showed he'd burnt the shepherd's pies! But thought the bit on free range chickens was out of place in this new programme- a bit self-indulgent.

Well I enjoyed it.  He certainly managed to put me off buying chicken for a while and I am one of the people who now buy free range from my local butcher.  I seem to get more for my money as well so its working out cheaper.   ;D

I thought it was excellent.  Yes of course its like teaching some of us to suck eggs but then that needn't stop it being entertaining.  Mass entertainment such as TV is seldom educational lets face it.

When I look back at other programs such as 'James Martin digs deep' and 'Jamies pukka nonsense in the garden' I think this program is streets ahead.

You actually get the sense that he's passionate about what he's talking about which is pretty rare these days,

well done HFW!
Best laid plans and all that

Nice advert for Hugh and his enterprises and once again he lectures us on what to buy whilst standing outside his massive house in his massive garden. Alright for some. But then seeing as this is the very chap that ate a human placenta nothing surprises me with hugh and his means of feahering his own nest.
My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. He wanted to conquer the bloody world. I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable. My idea was to build Liverpool up and up until eventually everyone would have to submit and give in. Bill Shankly.
