Carrot Crop Rotation
« on: October 09, 2007, 07:28:35 »
Do carrots need to be rotated to a different part of the allotment every year or can I prepare a raised carrot bed and use that year after year?

I know people grow carrots in pots etc so if they can stay put what preparation will the bed need each Winter/Spring?

I tend to rotate putting carrots in after peas often but it isn't essential - only becomes a problem when there is a problem so to speak and rotation pre-empts any problems or at least it should  ::)
