The Great British Allotment Tour
«

Those of you who have visited my blog will know that when we can, hubs and I like to get on the motorbike and head for the blue skies!
We aim to travel about 300 miles total maximum in one day, ie 150 miles each way.
We like to go somewhere different.
We thought we would do the great allotment tour and visit as many allotments as we can.
If you are about 200 miles from us here in Whitby, and are willing to show 2 strangers round your plot, we would be very grateful.
It would be on a weekend.
We are both house-trained and are quite polite really.
We would even bring our own teabags.
Thanks
Dx

You are welcome to drop in at Littleover Lane Derby. We have formal openings Sun pm 2-4:30 pm... nothing that formal except that it is a regular fixture from Easter to Oct 1/2 term. We are within your radius... just pm me to make sure we are around...

What a great idea. Sadly I only have a small garden and that is littered with conifer branches at the moment. Good luck!!

Although a bit far, you'd be welcome here in Caernarfon (and that goes to you too, EJ/Ava)

ooo, I haven't been chief Pillion at all this year! Must get babysitters sorted!
Anyhow, we are a whopping 227miles from Whitby, but if you ever fancied a really sore backside, then you are always welcome into sunny Essex! ;D
Thanks MV. We didn't do the Welsh run this year due to other commitments but will definately be back up there next Spring! ;D

Busy Lizzie I'm upset I've never been invited to look at your plot and I'm only up the road :P ;D
I don't know how far away I am from Whitby but you can come and see my raggedy plot if you want.
Our motorbike hasn't been out of the shed more than once or twice since Toot was born...she's three now.

hee hee, you could WALK to my mum & stepdad's lottie (opposite Whitby Grammar School or Community College, whatever it changed its name to, on the way to Ruswarp). Their lottie is the one thats nearly encased in fishing nets to keep the wee birdy's out. Whereabouts is yours, I think we will be through w/e 30th if they don't come to me. Are you a member of the riffle club - they have their 'giant' onion competition tonight.
Mine is in Sheffield, takes about 1.5 hours from Whitby - very welcome anytime.
