Planting Garlic
« on: September 03, 2005, 15:20:22 »
Does anyone know if garlic is suitable to grow in pots? If so what sort of size i.e depth should it be?
Have taken on new plot but want to dig it over and feed before planting so want to start off garlic in pots.

I planted garlic last year that had been started off in modules by my neighbour. It grew well but not as large as my other garlic planted straight into the ground, however variety could have been what made the difference. :)

Hi Madmum.  I get my garlic from the Organic Gardening Catalogue and plant three cloves to a 12" pot.  Works a treat :D
