But on my light soil I cannot grow them. So last winter I trod down a piece of my garden almost every day,by spring it was well compacted.
Then I drilled a hole-and I do been drilled-a flat bit on my chordless-popped the plants in and stamped all around them. I will have sprouts for Christmas ;D,I know this may seem extreme-anyone else silly enough to go to such things for something they like?
Stephan.

Hi there,
Delighted to hear of your sprout dance. My sprouts fall over and I do what is now obviously a half-hearted dance to encourage them. From now on I'll firm the soil down non-stop till sowing/planting. Many thanks,
Em :D
