This is getting silly and going to take up masses of memory so;
Seeing as how this is my topic, I'm taking the liberty of changing tack.
The new way to go is to give just the title of a 'Top Ten UK hit' song/tune with the name of the singer/group and everyone can guess at the year it came out.
Only rule is that the song must be pre-2000. If you guess the year right, then you get to add the next Title/Artist. I'm watching and checking all the answers; OK?

66 actually Kitty but I'll let you have it as you're a neighbour (of sorts). Feeling pretty pleased with myself today as I found the snail that had been chomping my sweetcorn in the greenhouse then hiding when he saw me coming. He's in snail heaven now (maniacal laughter)

It's Stone Roses, I am the Resurrection. That's the easy bit. I think the year was 1992 - as to where it got in the charts, I would guess at about number 25 (because it was pretty rubbish to be honest!!!!)

God Save the Queen by the Sex Pistols, ummm 1977, got to number 2, but many said it got to number one! (was banned by radio stations etc!) Didn't it get to teh top the week of the Queens Jubilee?

Thank you! It was really puzzling me. My son got cross because I sang it on the way to school. It took his mind off his SATs anyway! My first ever record was an EP with this on so I should have known it was 1970 because that's when I had my first record player. Too long ago. I've probably still got it in the loft somewhere.

No, didn't get the spuds earthed up as we nipped to Waddington Nurseries to get some cucumber plants and came away having spent, well, loads and loads. In order to make us feel better about spending so much money we've decided to flog some stuff at Harby car boot tomorrow to claw back some funds.
Hope the Methodist Hall was worth a visit. Redclanger didn't have any 'pets' with him did he? ;D
