Oh Yuck ! They all look revolting !  :o

It seems the first one is the caterpillar of an elephant hawk moth ??
And the second one is the caterpillar of a luna moth ?

These red things are all over our lotties this year and I honestly must say I've never noticed them before. So if anyone can tell me if they're goodies or baddies I'd be grateful.
