Title: Are my seed no good.
Post by: cacran on April 09, 2017, 17:03:23
I sowed some seeds onto kitchen paper over a week ago. I have them on a sunny window sill . I keep them damp and nothing has happened. All the seeds were out of date. Should I assume they are no good?

What seeds are we talking about?

Most of them are veg seeds and a few flowers. I had loads of out of date packs to use up, so thought it might be worth a try. Nothing lost if they don't come up. I thought that after a week I would have seen at least some shoots.

We can advise if you are a bit more specific.  Which flowers, which veg? How much out of date?

Beans for example go sticky if they are out of date
