Title: Worms at work?
Post by: Digeroo on February 13, 2014, 11:10:53
Is it just here but there seem to be more worm casts.  Looks like the worms are working hard to keep the soil aerated.

I guess they are trying to drain their burrows, its well wet and the temperature remains relatively high for this time of year. Its always sad to find drowned "friends" in puddles from which they have failed to escape and have simply diluted.

This weather will be giving the worms a hard time, but the extra worm casts are probably just because they are being forced nearer the surface.
They would normally be doing their magic deep down and out of sight.
