Title: Yellow worms
Post by: faerie9 on March 15, 2005, 20:47:47
Are yellow earthworms a problem?

They always tend to be smaller than regular earthworms, but look similar, they're just a jaundice-yellow colour rather than normal pinky-brown.
We have loads of normal earthworms but a few yellow fellas.
Are they actually different?!

There's lots of different species of earthworm - the one to worry about is the New Zealand flatworm?  It eats earthworms but is not yellow - http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk/flatworm.htm.

All best - Gavin

Ewwwww that critter looks and sounds disgusting!
No, haven't seen any of those, thank goodness, and there are loads of eartworms. I must just have had a worm-racist moment  :o *slap on wrist*

Thanks!
