Post by: Jayb on October 21, 2013, 20:03:58
Irish Seed Savers Association is appealing for support to help them continue their valuable work. http://www.irishseedsavers.ie/blog/2013/events/appeal-campaign/

They have a fab selection of open pollinated and Heritage seeds , I ordered Ita Aherns beans, Sniega Pika tomatoes,  Ebisu squash and Black sugar sweet turnip last week and they were delivered a few days later!

One of the sad things about this is that they will not ship anything outside of Europe. Many times I have heard of folks over here trying and being told no, there is a whole customer group there if they would  use it.

That is a shame, I’m sure they would pick up useful custom. Do they say why?

No, just that they don't. I have tried several times and would happily join and support them if they would  XX Jeannine

I'd like to second that.  Have sent folk in the US seeds from UK in the past and happy to do the same again.  There is always a very small risk, but the joy of being able to help and being helped get a special variety is a very good feeling.  There should be even less of a risk sending to Canada.

Good news, I emailed ISSA today and they reply their web site is set up for US and Canadian orders. They upgraded their site a little while back, probably changed then.
