I am in Preston but at the moment dont have an allotment.
I am on a list for one on Sharoe Green Lane Fulwood as it is just round the corner from where I live.
There isnt that many plots and I think I might be waiting a long time.

Hi Ron
I'm at the Penwortham West site and live in Ashton.   Have you thought about trying the ones opposite Moor Park?

There are 3 (or is it 4) sites there with (i think) lots of vacant plots.........though on second thoughts I'm sure you know about these sites and will already have considered it!!

Anyway good luck with the plot hunt and let us know how you get on
Plottie  :)

Hi Plottie
Thanks for the messege, I think if I want to get going I am going to have to look else where.
It was that this site is very close 200-300 yards away it would be very handy.

As Waggi says there are some on the ones opposite Moor Park I might have to do a little more travelling and not be so picky as to where I sow my seeds (yep I was around in the 60's)
Sorry

Thanks
Ron

Hi Ron
Yes we are lucky around here to have a good choice of sites almost all with available plots.
We looked at  a couple of sites before deciding on Penwortham West and are very pleased with our choice.  The final decision was determined by the choice of plots  -  the plot we chose was one which had been worked relatively recently, it had reasonable fencing that needed only minor repairs and ........... A SHED!!
Let us know what you decide to do...........and good luck

Plottie   :)

The plots are on Blackpool Road
All the gates are between Deepdale Road and Garstang Road
Waggi's gate is No3 and mine is Gate No2

Just taken on a plot in Preston (Opposite Moor Park) with a work colleague. It grows weeds well, so I am optimistic I will get something edible to grow on it. :)

I can never remember what gate number (It is the one nearest the Football Stadium) I was up there this afternoon. My colleague "slashing and burning", leaving me the task of digging. I think it is plot 220 (that is what it says on the shed), on a bit of a slope.
