Title: Rampaging pumpkins
Post by: mormor on June 25, 2013, 16:47:14
I have three pumpkin plants which are rapidly taking over.  Is it possible to tame them?  Cut off the ends of the shoots? Or will that mean no pumpkins?  Any/all suggestions are welcome.  I have raised them up a bit over bicycle baskets. Can they climb?  HELP!

You are doing really well then, most of ours are just stuck slowly catching up with what they should be like. Yes they can climb, last year I grew mine up wigwams it is great as the fruit gets air round it and stays a nice shape- no flat mucky bottoms. ( A bit like Betty's friend :tongue3: )

I’m in Denmark, which seems to have much warmer weather this year than further south.
