Title: yellow leaves on whitecurrant
Post by: takin a leek on June 19, 2013, 13:12:26
Hi All,

Has anyone else come across a problem with whitecurrant shrubs where the leaves go yellow from about late may/early June ? I have one plant that , last year,  looked fine up until late May and and I've noticed the same thing happen again. The fruit seem ok but it just seems to give up for the year after fruiting. It is in a sheltered site and I mulch with horse manure in the autumn and the spring.

Any ideas?

Hungry? They are in full leaf then, might be worth putting some chicken manure pellets down with a nice mulch on top to give them a boost before fruiting?

Thanks Deb.

The old horse manure must not be enough!

Are they a hungry plant btw?
