Title: Anyone want to use my garden nr Ely, Cambs?
Post by: Penniless on April 27, 2013, 13:55:31
If anyone local to me (Soham, Nr. Ely, Cambridgeshire) would like to make use of a decent size plot to grow fruit and veg, then my side garden is ideal for you.  It's a fair size - about 36' wide and about 50' long (need to measure this though) and is just grassed at the moment and gets no use whatsoever.  In return, I ask that you mow my front lawn and perhaps grow a couple of things for me.  If anyone is interested, then do contact me.  Alternative, if there is a specific place to advertise this - can you point me in the right direction because I've had an advert in the local post office and village shop and no-one has taken this offer up.  Thanks.  (Would love to do our own patch but have no time with work commitments).

Thanks.  Will give them a try then.  Its such a waste and I thought there would be so mahy people wanting to make use of the chance to grow their own.

I am surprised that you have no interest locally..I would jump at the chance for a bit more room to manoeuvre....you are just a tad too far away from N Wales...Keep trying though, I am sure there is someone out there just wishing they could find a bit of ground...sometimes it is just hard to make contact in the first place!
