Title: One thing sorted for next year!
Post by: caroline7758 on August 18, 2012, 13:51:04
I've got some label tapes for my Brother p-touch. I know they're expensive, but despite all the advice on here, I haven't been able to find any means of labelling that lasts outside without fading.

I have had one of these machines for 3 or 4 years and the labels have been unaffected by the weather.   I usually buy the clear tape from a local company - http://www.labelzone.co.uk/ . Quite handy for me as I phone them up, tell them what I want and pop round (all of 5 minutes from home) and collect them.

The good old 2B pencil cannot be beaten.

Yes, they are expensive - I asked for a tape as a present last Christmas. When I'm asked I usually mention a couple of useful items as I hate getting 'smellies' and suchlike.

A tape lasts a long time as I only need it to label new varieties - I've been using the same labels for 5 years for most of the veggies I grow.

Caroline - I love the label tapes  - have loads of white labels with tape on them. Keeps me in order as I'm very forgetful!!
