Title: carrot flowers

    If i plant a carrot would i get carrot flowers this year?

Abd self sown parsnips (gently thinned) grow the best of all in my experience.....

Yes, but you have to keep them away from other carrots including the wild one if you want to save the seed. The flowers are nice though.
We grow the parsnip for seed but we grow coriander for the flowers. It smells like washing when you get it in off the line. A lovely fresh smell

Every day's a school day!  Why do the carrots need to be kept away from others?

My sister told be that the bottom part of celery can be cut off and planted to grow new stalks.  I bought some celery last night and thought I would try it.

   Thanks i've three on the side in the kitchen, don't need the seeds, just fancy finding out what the flowes look like  ;D

In all my years of having a plot (30+ years) I don't think I've ever seen a carrot that has gone to seed.Now I am going to have to keep some going next year just to have a look for myself.  Curiosity etc ;)
